The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

त्वयैवात्मन्युपानीता सात्मज्ञानवशात्क्षतिः ।
अधिगम्यात्मविज्ञानमात्मनाशः कृतस्त्वया ॥ ३७ ॥

tvayaivātmanyupānītā sātmajñānavaśātkṣatiḥ |
adhigamyātmavijñānamātmanāśaḥ kṛtastvayā || 37 ||

Even in my present state, my body brings its own ruin on itself;by its being slighted by the soul, upon its advancement in spiritual knowledge.
