The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तारकाकारकुमुदं सूर्यांशुकवदाकृति ।
वीतहव्यो ममज्जाशु सरस्युद्भिन्नपङ्कजे ॥ २६ ॥

tārakākārakumudaṃ sūryāṃśukavadākṛti |
vītahavyo mamajjāśu sarasyudbhinnapaṅkaje || 26 ||

It shone as a star in the limpid lake, and as sun beams under the water; and then it appeared above it, as a full blown lotus on the surface of waters.
