Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ईश्वरो नेदृशः शोच्यो यस्त्वया सदृशो भवेत् ।
न च तस्य कृतेनार्थो नाकृतेनेह कश्चन ॥ ६३ ॥

īśvaro nedṛśaḥ śocyo yastvayā sadṛśo bhavet |
na ca tasya kṛtenārtho nākṛteneha kaścana || 63 ||

The Lord (who works of his free will), is not to be pitied like thee that art subjected to labour, because his works are all as unaccountable as those he has not yet done.
