The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.82.25

चित्सत्तामात्रकेणालं संक्षोभो भवतां मिथः ।
तिष्ठति स्वैरमादित्ये दिनकार्यवतामिव ॥ २५ ॥

citsattāmātrakeṇālaṃ saṃkṣobho bhavatāṃ mithaḥ |
tiṣṭhati svairamāditye dinakāryavatāmiva || 25 ||

Yet the unseen intellect directs the organs of sense, to their various duties from a distance; as the distant sun directs the discharge, of the diurnal duties of men on earth, from his situation in heaven.
