The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तेनात्मना बहुज्ञेन निर्ज्ञाताश्चक्षुरादयः ।
मनागपि न संबन्धो द्युपातालतलाद्रिवत् ॥ २३ ॥

tenātmanā bahujñena nirjñātāścakṣurādayaḥ |
manāgapi na saṃbandho dyupātālatalādrivat || 23 ||

The all knowing soul knows well the eyes and ears, though none of these organs knows the internal soul, and is as far from it, as the heaven and hell asunder.
