The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

हे हे हतेन्द्रियगणाः किं मे बोधाय नेह वः ।
वेला विलुलिताम्बूनामब्धीमिव चञ्चलाः ॥ १७ ॥

he he hatendriyagaṇāḥ kiṃ me bodhāya neha vaḥ |
velā vilulitāmbūnāmabdhīmiva cañcalāḥ || 17 ||

O my wicked and wretched senses, how shall I counsel to call you to your good sense, when you are so senseless as to roll on restlessly like the billows of waters in the sea.
