The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.82.10

स जहारालमालोकाद्दिग्विकीर्णं मनः शनैः ।
विशन्मेरुदरीं सायं भानुर्भास इवोत्करम् ॥ १० ॥

sa jahārālamālokāddigvikīrṇaṃ manaḥ śanaiḥ |
viśanmerudarīṃ sāyaṃ bhānurbhāsa ivotkaram || 10 ||

He closed his eyesight from looking upon the surrounding objects, and pent up his mind in his bosom, as the descending sun confines his beams in the hollow caves of Meru.
