The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पूरके नूनमभ्यस्ते पूराद्गिरिघनस्थिते ।
प्राणे प्रशान्तसंचारे प्राणस्पन्दो निरुद्ध्यते ॥ २३ ॥

pūrake nūnamabhyaste pūrādgirighanasthite |
prāṇe praśāntasaṃcāre prāṇaspando niruddhyate || 23 ||

The practice of puraka or breathing in tends to fill the inside as the clouds fill the sky; and then the breathing being stopped, its vibrations are stopped also.
