The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.78.15

चित्तं प्राणपरिस्पन्दमाहुरागमभूषणाः ।
तस्मिन्संरोधिते नूनमुपशान्तं भवेन्मनः ॥ १५ ॥

cittaṃ prāṇaparispandamāhurāgamabhūṣaṇāḥ |
tasminsaṃrodhite nūnamupaśāntaṃ bhavenmanaḥ || 15 ||

The heart is said to be the afflation of the vital breath by the learned in the Vedas, and this being suppressed quiets the mind also.
