The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अवच्छेदविचाराभ्यामभितः खण्डशो गतम् ।
पाषाणं च मणिं चैव संधातुं कस्य शक्तता ॥ ७६ ॥

avacchedavicārābhyāmabhitaḥ khaṇḍaśo gatam |
pāṣāṇaṃ ca maṇiṃ caiva saṃdhātuṃ kasya śaktatā || 76 ||

As no analysis can distinguish the gem from the ore, when they are both broken to pieces; so there is no reasoning to show the soul which is lost with body.
