The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वायुः स्पन्दनधर्मत्वाद्यदा चलति देहके ।
तदा स्फुरति हस्ताङ्गरसनापल्लवावली ॥ ११ ॥

vāyuḥ spandanadharmatvādyadā calati dehake |
tadā sphurati hastāṅgarasanāpallavāvalī || 11 ||

When the air circulates in the body, by its natural property of motion, it gives movement to the members of the body, and moves the voluble tongue, like the flitting leaf of a tree.
