The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दृश्यदर्शननिर्मुक्ता तामालम्ब्य भवाभवः ।
सौषुप्ती दृष्टिरेषा हि यात्येवं संप्रकाशते ॥ ३८ ॥

dṛśyadarśananirmuktā tāmālambya bhavābhavaḥ |
sauṣuptī dṛṣṭireṣā hi yātyevaṃ saṃprakāśate || 38 ||

Abstaining from the sight of the visibles, constitutes the hypnotic vision of the soul, which is enlarged and illumined by its inward vision within itself.
