The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.72.27

गतैरभ्यागतैः स्वच्छैश्चपलैर्मलिनैर्जडैः ।
न रागो नाम्बुधेर्द्वेषो भोगैश्चाधिगतात्मनः ॥ २७ ॥

gatairabhyāgataiḥ svacchaiścapalairmalinairjaḍaiḥ |
na rāgo nāmbudherdveṣo bhogaiścādhigatātmanaḥ || 27 ||

Those that are masters of themselves, are not moved to love or hatred, in their behaviour with their comers or goers; or with those that are steady or fickle in their friendship, and with such as are vicious and ignorant.
