The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.71.38

यत्र पुष्पं तत्र गन्धसंविदः संस्थिता यथा ।
यत्र चित्तं हि तत्रात्मसंविदः संस्थितास्तथा ॥ ३८ ॥

yatra puṣpaṃ tatra gandhasaṃvidaḥ saṃsthitā yathā |
yatra cittaṃ hi tatrātmasaṃvidaḥ saṃsthitāstathā || 38 ||

As the knowledge of the flower, is accompanied with that of its odour; so the knowledge of the soul is inseparable from that of the mind.
