The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दुःखजालमिदं नाम यत्किंचिज्जगतीगतम् ।
संसक्तमनसामर्थे तत्सर्वं परिकल्पितम् ॥ ४६ ॥

duḥkhajālamidaṃ nāma yatkiṃcijjagatīgatam |
saṃsaktamanasāmarthe tatsarvaṃ parikalpitam || 46 ||

Know all things in this world, to be full of pain and misery; and are stored up not for enjoyment but torments of the worldly minded.
