The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वीरुत्तृणदशां याता म्रियन्ते यत्पुनःपुनः ।
नरा विगतसंचारास्तत्संसक्तिविजृम्भितम् ॥ १८ ॥

vīruttṛṇadaśāṃ yātā mriyante yatpunaḥpunaḥ |
narā vigatasaṃcārāstatsaṃsaktivijṛmbhitam || 18 ||

The selfmoving man becomes immovable, and turns to the state of fixed trees and plants; and thus grows and dies by turns, in consequence of his worldly propensities.
