The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

असंसङ्गेन सकलाश्चेष्टा नाना विजृम्भिताः ।
चिकित्सिता भवन्तीह श्रेयः संपादयन्ति च ॥ ९ ॥

asaṃsaṅgena sakalāśceṣṭā nānā vijṛmbhitāḥ |
cikitsitā bhavantīha śreyaḥ saṃpādayanti ca || 9 ||

All our efforts impelled by various motives, are avoided by our indifference to those pursuits; and this unconcernedness about worldly matters, is productive of our greatest good.
