The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सर्वकर्मफलादीनां मनसैव न कर्मणा ।
निपुणं यः परित्यागी सोऽसंसक्त इति स्मृतः ॥ ८ ॥

sarvakarmaphalādīnāṃ manasaiva na karmaṇā |
nipuṇaṃ yaḥ parityāgī so'saṃsakta iti smṛtaḥ || 8 ||

He whose mind is not solicitous about the results of his actions, but takes them lightly as they come to pass upon him; such a man is said to be listless and lukewarm in his mind.
