The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नाहमस्मि न चान्योऽस्ति मा भवन्तु भवन्तु वा ।
सुखान्यसक्त इत्यन्तः कथ्यते मुक्तिभाङ्नरः ॥ ५ ॥

nāhamasmi na cānyo'sti mā bhavantu bhavantu vā |
sukhānyasakta ityantaḥ kathyate muktibhāṅnaraḥ || 5 ||

The unattached and self-liberated man thus speaks in himself that:—"Neither do I exist nor are these others in existence:let aught of good or evil, pleasure or pain befall unto me, but I am not to be changed in any condition of life."
