The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.67.35

अन्तःसंसक्तिमुक्तस्य कुर्वतोऽपि न कर्तृता ।
गुणदोषवती तोये दारुवाहननौर्यथा ॥ ३५ ॥

antaḥsaṃsaktimuktasya kurvato'pi na kartṛtā |
guṇadoṣavatī toye dāruvāhananauryathā || 35 ||

The unworldly minded persons, are not tied down to the earth by their worldly actions; it remains aloof from all its actions, as a floating vessel remains aloft of the sweet and salt waters of the lake beneath it.
