The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भग्नस्फटिकवद्विद्धि मनः सक्तमपावनम् ।
अभग्नस्फटिकाभासमसक्तं विद्धि मे मनः ॥ ३२ ॥

bhagnasphaṭikavadviddhi manaḥ saktamapāvanam |
abhagnasphaṭikābhāsamasaktaṃ viddhi me manaḥ || 32 ||

The mind unattached to the world is as a pure crystal, without any shade of colour in it; but the mind that is attached to the world, is as a prismatic glass with all the colours of the rainbow.
