The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

व्यूढदुःखमहाभारं जन्मजङ्गलजीवितम् ।
कुकर्मकर्दमालिप्तं मोहपल्वलशायिनम् ॥ २२ ॥

vyūḍhaduḥkhamahābhāraṃ janmajaṅgalajīvitam |
kukarmakardamāliptaṃ mohapalvalaśāyinam || 22 ||

The dullheaded are made to bear, like heavy laden bullocks, great loads of distress on their backs in their native soil.
