The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.64.14

व्यवहारपरोऽप्यन्तरसक्तमतिरेकधीः ।
स्पृश्यते नैनसा साधुर्मत्स्येक्षणमिवाम्भसा ॥ १४ ॥

vyavahāraparo'pyantarasaktamatirekadhīḥ |
spṛśyate nainasā sādhurmatsyekṣaṇamivāmbhasā || 14 ||

A wise man engaged in business, with his mind disengaged from it, and fixed on one object, is not obstructed by it in his view of spiritual light; as the eye-sight of fishes, is not hindered by the surrounding water.
