The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.63.17

alamativitatairvacaḥprapañcairiyamuciteha sukhāya dṛṣṭirekā |
upaśamitarasaṃ samaṃ mano'ntaryadi muditaṃ tadanuttamā pratiṣṭhā || 17 ||

It is useless verbiage to expatiate on the subject; it is enough to know this truth for our happiness here, i.e. to have our desires under subjection, and an evenness of our minds under all conditions, attended with inward placidity and universal regard for all.
