The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सुरघुरुवाच ।
न तदस्ति मुने वस्तु यत्रोपादेयतास्ति नः ।
यावत्किंचिदिदं दृश्यं तावदेतन्न किंचन ॥ ९ ॥

suraghuruvāca |
na tadasti mune vastu yatropādeyatāsti naḥ |
yāvatkiṃcididaṃ dṛśyaṃ tāvadetanna kiṃcana || 9 ||

Suraghu replied: There is nothing in this world, O royal sage! which we may chose as inestimable to us; for all that shines and glitters here, are nothing in reality and have no intrinsic value.
