The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.59.8

एवं सभृत्यं सबलं सवाहनपुरान्तरम् ।
नाहं राज्यं न मे राज्यं संकेतो ह्ययमाकुलः ॥ ८ ॥

evaṃ sabhṛtyaṃ sabalaṃ savāhanapurāntaram |
nāhaṃ rājyaṃ na me rājyaṃ saṃketo hyayamākulaḥ || 8 ||

Thus this Government with all its force and officers in the city, is naught to me, nor am I aught to it in reality, except mere adscititious compliments to one another.
