The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

व्यर्थसंकेतसंबन्धं संकेतविगमे क्षतम् ।
भोगवृन्दं कलत्रं च नाहं नैतन्ममाखिलम् ॥ ७ ॥

vyarthasaṃketasaṃbandhaṃ saṃketavigame kṣatam |
bhogavṛndaṃ kalatraṃ ca nāhaṃ naitanmamākhilam || 7 ||

All this was nothing to me before my election, and will not be mine after my disposal; and all these possessions, enjoyments and consorts, do neither appertain to me nor I to them.
