The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तद्यथा समतोदेति सूर्यांशुरिव सर्वदा ।
मतौ मम मुने नान्या तथा करुणया कुरु ॥ २८ ॥

tadyathā samatodeti sūryāṃśuriva sarvadā |
matau mama mune nānyā tathā karuṇayā kuru || 28 ||

Deign, therefore, O sage, to remove this pain of mine, and cause the sunshine of peace and equanimity to brighten the gloom of my mind.
