The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जीवनं ज्ञातता ज्ञाता जीवनं जीवजीवनम् ।
अत्यन्तमस्ति नो भेदश्चिद्रूपत्वे ज्ञजीवयोः ॥ २५ ॥

jīvanaṃ jñātatā jñātā jīvanaṃ jīvajīvanam |
atyantamasti no bhedaścidrūpatve jñajīvayoḥ || 25 ||

Living, knowing and the knowledge of things, are properties of the animated or concrete soul—the jiva: but there is no difference of these in the discrete, or Universal and intellectual soul.
