The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.56.39

आत्मैव स्फुरति स्फारं जगत्त्वेनाप्यहंतया ।
बाह्यत्वेनान्तरत्वेन स च नासन्न सन्विभुः ॥ ३९ ॥

ātmaiva sphurati sphāraṃ jagattvenāpyahaṃtayā |
bāhyatvenāntaratvena sa ca nāsanna sanvibhuḥ || 39 ||

It is the divine soul, which manifests itself in the form of the ego and the world also (the subjective and the objective); and all what we see externally or think internally, either in and out of us is unreal, except the real images which are imprinted in the soul.
