The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.56.7

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
इमं गुणसमाहारमनात्मत्वेन पश्यतः ।
अन्तःशीतलता यासौ समाधिरिति कथ्यते ॥ ७ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
imaṃ guṇasamāhāramanātmatvena paśyataḥ |
antaḥśītalatā yāsau samādhiriti kathyate || 7 ||

Vasishtha replied:—-He who views the association of properties and qualities of things (which constitute all bodies in general), as quite distinct from the soul; enjoys a cool tranquillity within himself, which is designated by the name of Samadhi.
