The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.55.23

उपशशाम शनैर्दिवसैरसौ कतिपयैः स्वपदे विमलात्मनि ।
तरुरसः शरदन्त इवामले रविकरौजसि जन्मदशातिगः ॥ २३ ॥

upaśaśāma śanairdivasairasau katipayaiḥ svapade vimalātmani |
tarurasaḥ śaradanta ivāmale ravikaraujasi janmadaśātigaḥ || 23 ||

In course of some days, his soul gradually forgot its mortal state, and it found its rest in his pure spiritual bliss; as the moisture of trees is deposited in the rays of the sun, at the end of autumn.
