The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्राणप्रवाहसंरोधसमः स्वच्छाननच्छविः ।
अङ्ग चित्संविदुत्तानरोमकण्टकिताङ्गभूः ॥ १७ ॥
prāṇapravāhasaṃrodhasamaḥ svacchānanacchaviḥ |
aṅga citsaṃviduttānaromakaṇṭakitāṅgabhūḥ || 17 ||
There was a total stop of the breathing of his vital airs, and his countenance was composed and clear; his body was erect with the consciousness of his intellect, and his hairs stood on their ends like thorns.
