The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आनन्दे परिणामित्वादनानन्दपदं गतः ।
नानन्दे न निरानन्दे ततस्तत्संविदाबभौ ॥ ६८ ॥

ānande pariṇāmitvādanānandapadaṃ gataḥ |
nānande na nirānande tatastatsaṃvidābabhau || 68 ||

He now remained in his state of indifference, which lies between the two opposites of sorrow and joy; and neither of which is of long continuance, except the middle state of insouciance which endureth for ever.
