The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दग्धदेहपुरो वह्निः शशामाशनिवत्क्षणात् ।
अदृश्यत सितं भस्म शारीरं हिमपाण्डुरम् ॥ १२ ॥

dagdhadehapuro vahniḥ śaśāmāśanivatkṣaṇāt |
adṛśyata sitaṃ bhasma śārīraṃ himapāṇḍuram || 12 ||

The fire burning before burnt body, was blown out in a moment like the flash of lightning; and he left his whole frame consumed to ashes, and lying cold and grey on the naked ground.
