The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अपर्यन्तपुराकाले मृदि कुम्भ इवाकृतिः ।
देहोऽभवदिदानीं तु तथैवास्ति भविष्यति ॥ ३६ ॥

aparyantapurākāle mṛdi kumbha ivākṛtiḥ |
deho'bhavadidānīṃ tu tathaivāsti bhaviṣyati || 36 ||

As a pot made of earth long before, continues in the same state at all times, so the body which has long ago come to existence, still continues and will continue the same.
