The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.52.61

तस्मान्मूर्खाणीन्द्रियाणि त्यक्त्वान्तर्वासनां निजाम् ।
कुरुध्वं कर्म हे सर्वं न दुःखं समवाप्स्यथ ॥ ६१ ॥

tasmānmūrkhāṇīndriyāṇi tyaktvāntarvāsanāṃ nijām |
kurudhvaṃ karma he sarvaṃ na duḥkhaṃ samavāpsyatha || 61 ||

Hence let thy organs of sense perform their several actions, without your will of the same; and you will by this means evade all the pleasure and pain.
