The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आशाशतावपूर्णत्वे त्वमेवं सर्वदुःखदम् ।
त्यज्य याहि परं श्रेयः परमेकान्तसुन्दरम् ॥ ११ ॥

āśāśatāvapūrṇatve tvamevaṃ sarvaduḥkhadam |
tyajya yāhi paraṃ śreyaḥ paramekāntasundaram || 11 ||

Cease to seek thy objects of thy desire, which are beset by difficulties, and are productive of thy woe and anxiety; fly from these to lay hold on thy chief good, which thou shalt find in thy solitary retirement only.
