The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रथमं तु बभूवासावल्पप्रज्ञो विचारवान् ।
अप्राप्तपदविश्रान्तिरप्रबुद्धः शुभाशयः ॥ १४ ॥

prathamaṃ tu babhūvāsāvalpaprajño vicāravān |
aprāptapadaviśrāntiraprabuddhaḥ śubhāśayaḥ || 14 ||

On the first development of his intellect, he had the light of reason dawning upon his mind; and he was awakened to noble aims and expectations, instead of arriving at the state of rest and quietude.
