The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आमन्थरं देहगुहासु गुप्तं संकल्पघोराजगरं जवेन ।
अकामनानाममहानलेन बलेन दग्ध्वा विभवो भव त्वम् ॥ ८३ ॥

āmantharaṃ dehaguhāsu guptaṃ saṃkalpaghorājagaraṃ javena |
akāmanānāmamahānalena balena dagdhvā vibhavo bhava tvam || 83 ||

Avarice which is hid in the body, and lurks unseen in its cells, is as a dark cobra or hydra in its form; it is to be burnt to death by the fire of lukewarmness, for your safety and security from all evil.
