The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आधिव्याधिविलासेन समाश्वासेन संसृतेः ।
हेयादेयप्रयत्नेन चेतो गच्छति पीनताम् ॥ ६० ॥

ādhivyādhivilāsena samāśvāsena saṃsṛteḥ |
heyādeyaprayatnena ceto gacchati pīnatām || 60 ||

The mind grows lusty in its expectation of some good in prospect, even under the afflictions of disease and danger. It grows stout with enduring what is intolerable, and doing what ought not to be done.
