The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अदृष्टादृश्यसीम्नोऽन्तः सूर्यादीन्यखिलान्यपि ।
न तेजांस्युपकुर्वन्ति स्वसंविद्दिव्यचक्षुषः ॥ ४८ ॥

adṛṣṭādṛśyasīmno'ntaḥ sūryādīnyakhilānyapi |
na tejāṃsyupakurvanti svasaṃviddivyacakṣuṣaḥ || 48 ||

The heavenward sight of consciousness, reaching beyond the limits of all regions to the unseen and invisible God; derives no help from the light of the sun and moon.
