The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.50.7

तस्मिन्द्रुतमवष्टब्धे धिया पुरुषयत्नतः ।
गृहीतनाभिवहनान्मायाचक्रं निरुध्यते ॥ ७ ॥

tasmindrutamavaṣṭabdhe dhiyā puruṣayatnataḥ |
gṛhītanābhivahanānmāyācakraṃ nirudhyate || 7 ||

If you can by means of your manly exertion, put a stop to the motion of your heart, as it were by fixing a peg to the loop-hole of the wheel, you stop the rotation of the circle of delusion at once.
