The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.48.69

तदुत्तिष्ठ निजं कर्म कुर्वंस्तिष्ठोपशान्तधीः ।
न स्वकर्म विना श्रेयः प्राप्नुवन्तीह मानवाः ॥ ६९ ॥

taduttiṣṭha nijaṃ karma kurvaṃstiṣṭhopaśāntadhīḥ |
na svakarma vinā śreyaḥ prāpnuvantīha mānavāḥ || 69 ||

Rise therefore and remain unshaken in the discharge of thy duties, without being misled by the vagaries of thy mind; because it is practice of one's profession that leads him to success, and not the ideals or his mind.
