The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.48.40

श्रीभगवानुवाच ।
गाधे कच्चित्त्वया दृष्टा माया मम गरीयसी ।
दृष्टं त्वया जगज्जालचेष्टितं दैष्टिकात्मकम् ॥ ४० ॥

śrībhagavānuvāca |
gādhe kaccittvayā dṛṣṭā māyā mama garīyasī |
dṛṣṭaṃ tvayā jagajjālaceṣṭitaṃ daiṣṭikātmakam || 40 ||

The lord spoke to him saying said:—Gadhi thou hast fully seen the great spell of my magic (maya); and known the network or delusion, which is spread by destiny over all the affairs of this world.
