The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यस्तत्रार्थं परिज्ञाय जनैर्दूरे निराकृतः ।
यथा राशिरनर्थस्य यथा ग्रामे विषद्रुमः ॥ ६१ ॥

yastatrārthaṃ parijñāya janairdūre nirākṛtaḥ |
yathā rāśiranarthasya yathā grāme viṣadrumaḥ || 61 ||

The citizens coming to know his mean birth afterwards, drove him from there at last; as they remove a noxious and poisonous tree from the garden.
