The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यस्ततो देशमुत्सृज्य ययौ कीरपुरान्तरम् ।
वर्षाण्यष्टावनुद्वेगं तत्र राजा बभूव सः ॥ ६० ॥

yastato deśamutsṛjya yayau kīrapurāntaram |
varṣāṇyaṣṭāvanudvegaṃ tatra rājā babhūva saḥ || 60 ||

He then deserted his native land and went over to the city of the Kirs, of which he became the king; and reigned there for the space of twice four years.
