The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दारिद्र्यं तद्दृढमिव दौर्भाग्यमिव कुड्यमत् ।
भ्रष्टाङ्गमिव दौरात्म्यं दौःस्थित्यमिव खण्डितम् ॥ ४६ ॥

dāridryaṃ taddṛḍhamiva daurbhāgyamiva kuḍyamat |
bhraṣṭāṅgamiva daurātmyaṃ dauḥsthityamiva khaṇḍitam || 46 ||

His hut presented the picture of poverty and wretchedness, and its compound was a scene of ruin and desolation.
