The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इति संचिन्तयन्गन्तुं मण्डलान्तरमादरात् ।
उत्तस्थौ भास्करः पार्श्वं मेरोर्द्रष्टुमिवोद्यतः ॥ ३६ ॥

iti saṃcintayangantuṃ maṇḍalāntaramādarāt |
uttasthau bhāskaraḥ pārśvaṃ merordraṣṭumivodyataḥ || 36 ||

Thus determined, Gadhi rose to visit the distant district, as the sun rises over the horizon to visit all the sides of Sumeru.
