The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अस्त्यस्मिन्वसुधापीठे उत्तराशानिकुञ्जके ।
कीरो नामातिविख्यातः श्रीमाञ्जनपदो महान् ॥ २३ ॥

astyasminvasudhāpīṭhe uttarāśānikuñjake |
kīro nāmātivikhyātaḥ śrīmāñjanapado mahān || 23 ||

There is on the surface of this land, and in the woody tracts of the north, the great district of the Kir (Kirgis?), which is far renowned for its richness.
